This weekend I went to Dallas to visit my sister. We shopped, ate, went to the zoo, fed some giraffes, attended a lion's birthday party (they got their own cupcakes) and ate some more! On Saturday night we stopped by the Luxe Cafe for dessert, this experience was life changing. I have a small passion for banana pudding. I adore it! Well, the Luxe Cafe has changed my persepective on the whole matter, I'm now obsessed.
Banana Pudding Recipe
1 (14 ounce) can EAGLE BRAND® Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 1/2 cups cold water
1 (4-serving size) package instant vanilla pudding mix
2 cups whipping cream, whipped
36 vanilla wafers
3 medium bananas, sliced and dipped in
1.In large bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk and water. Add pudding mix; beat until well blended. Chill 5 minutes.
2.Fold in whipped cream. Spoon 1 cup pudding mixture into 2 1/2-quart glass serving bowl.
3.Top with one-third each of the vanilla wafers, bananas and remaining pudding. Repeat layering twice, ending with pudding mixture. Chill thoroughly. Garnish as desired. Store leftovers covered in refrigerator.
For festive individual pudding desserts for your holiday guests, prepare mixture and layer in individual serving dessert dishes or cups with stems. Serve chilled.
4 bananas, peeled and halved
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1 cup chopped peanuts
8 wooden craft sticks or skewers
Insert wooden stick into each banana piece. Arrange on parchment-lined sheet pan and freeze for 20 minutes.
Place chips into bowl. Microwave on medium heat until melted, about 60 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds.
Remove bananas from freezer and dip in melted chocolate. Immediately roll them in chopped nuts or sprinkles. Freeze until frozen solid, about 1 hour.
